NESCAFÉ BLEND 43 is a unique brand to Australia, crafted by the Gympie factory in Queensland and made for Australians to enjoy. NESTLÉ Professional provides NESCAFÉ BLEND 43 to thousands of businesses across Australia. Expanding from last year’s collection, we continue to give back to support our local communities around the country.

This year’s new ‘Celebrate Community Spirit’ Collection continues to raise a cuppa to the Australian enduring spirit and celebrating the community spirit of 3 much-loved Aussie towns, just like Gympie QLD where NESCAFÉ BLEND 43 is made. Enjoyed by Australian communities for over 80 years, we’re proud to partner with Rotary in Australia to support the people and community spirit of three much loved Aussie towns: Alice Springs in NT, Boorowa in NSW, and Mandurah in WA.

From October 2022, each 1kg tin of NESCAFÉ BLEND 43 instant coffee will feature an illustration that highlights the community spirit in each of these three Aussie towns. The designs range from a community running one of the most unique sporting events in the world, the honouring of a town’s rich heritage and world-class wool, and the celebration of local food, music, and art.

Rotary in Australia Partnership

With more than 1,000 Clubs and 30,000 members, Rotary members in Australia are ‘people of action’ who support an array of local community service initiatives.

NESCAFÉ BLEND 43 is proud to continue partnering with Rotary in Australia in 2022 to provide three Australian communities with a grant that will be used to cater to each town’s needs, leaving a long-lasting keepsake for the community through the unique illustrated tins.

Local Rotary Clubs in the three towns have been given grants from NESCAFÉ BLEND 43 to invest in a community initiative important to each town. Each town has received $5,000. NESCAFÉ BLEND 43 has also gifted the selected Rotary Clubs with an allocation of limited-edition instant coffee tins featuring their town. These tins are to be used for the Club to on-sell, or donate to the local community, with any profits retained by each Club.

The initiative will build on the partnership between NESCAFÉ BLEND 43 and Rotary in Australia and continue to celebrate and support the people and community spirit of Australia.

The 3 Australian Local Towns

Each of these three towns has been handpicked by NESCAFÉ BLEND 43 as they each demonstrate individual examples of ongoing community spirit, and what it means to be Australian.

Alice Springs, NT

When you live in the desert, determination is second nature. So, when the people of Alice Springs wanted a boat race, they were determined to have one wherever they could. In doing so, they pulled together to create one of the most unique sporting events on the planet. Since 1962, generations have come to watch bottomless boats race on the empty Todd River. Powered by legs young and old, no boat is too whacky, with everything from bathtubs to Viking ships being raced. And at the Henley on Todd Regatta, everyone goes home feeling a winner, even the spectators.

Boorowa, NSW

In the green farming village of Boorowa, the sheep significantly outnumber the people. So when the locals wanted to honour their town and its Irish founders, picking a theme was easy. The Boorowa Irish Woolfest has been running now for over 20 years and is famous for the very entertaining Running of the Sheep, uniting the whole community. Thousands of people come together each year to enjoy the displays, music, markets, food and the running. The town once famous for its wool, is now known nationwide for its hospitality.

Mandurah, WA

They say it’s the little things that make a big difference. In Mandurah this is most certainly true. Every year this community in Western Australia celebrates the crabs that make their region even more special. Crab Fest draws over 100,000 people for cooking demonstrations, food, music, and of course, crabs. Even when the festival was sadly cancelled one year, the locals came together to support the small businesses who would have taken part, placing orders to keep their businesses going. The locals, it turns out, are even sweeter than the crabs.
